Background
Third Earth Stories is a project that has its roots in my formative years. Sorcery and science fiction alike fascinated me, and I lived many lives in games, movies, books, and my own stories. I wrote many short stories and finished almost none of them, eventually stepping away to join the rat race of the real world.
I’d always dreamed of coming back to the world I started years ago, to discover it, learn about the people living there. I took inspiration from many sources ranging from popular culture to historical reality, fantasy, science fiction, dystopian settings, role-playing games, and of course, other written works. What came out of that may be fascinating or an abomination – such distinctions are left to the reader.
About This Site
What lives here is a collection of material I dreamed over the years, folded and shaped, to breathe life into a world that exists in my mind. Some of it is derived from things woven into the background of my larger works, while other material is just a manifestation of my imagination that hasn’t found a home yet.
I’ve arranged this space to help readers, and myself, explore the world in a way that doesn’t ask as much as a novel might. I hope visitors enjoy browsing it as much as I’ve enjoyed creating it.
