Employment Agreement – Reconnaissance Escort, House Zaredein

Agreement of Service

Let it be known that the bearer of this contract, herein referred to as the Contractor, has entered into a temporary agreement of employment with House Zaredein, esteemed Merchant House of the Ryukhan Sands, to perform duties in the capacity of Reconnaissance Escort.

Duration

Commencement: Upon signing, travel to begin at the discretion of the caravan master.
Estimated Duration: Not to exceed 30 days.

Duties and Expectations

The Contractor shall:

  1. Ride with the caravan to detect threats which include, but are not limited to: hostile raiders, dune beasts, hidden terrain hazards.
  2. Report daily findings to the caravan master.
  3. Refrain from engaging hostiles unless instructed to do so, or in defense of house goods.
  4. Do not interfere with negotiations, goods, or marked property.
    Failure to perform these duties will result in termination of contract and forfeiture of payment.

Compensation

Base Pay: 200 silver pieces (50 in advance, 150 upon completion return to Thornhold).
Bonus: Not available for this assignment.
Penalty Clause: Should the caravan suffer significant delay due to the Contractor’s actions or failure to act, they will be held liable for any losses to the House.

Terms of Conduct

House Zaredein provides basic rations, water, and caravan transport.
Contractor is responsible for own arms, armor, and any specialized equipment.
Upon death, no compensation will be offered to surviving kin unless negotiated in a separate clause.
