The tension between the sandborn and the Somari is a fault line the Empire exploits most casually and understands least.
Economy
The Sandborn economy runs on route knowledge and resource control. Merchant houses manage resource production and supply infrastructure with an efficiency that treats intermediaries as waste. Water is the desert’s ultimate currency, and whoever controls access to it controls everything downstream.
